Newly elected members of the Union Territory of Puducherry took oath as MLAs on Wednesday, with <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/news/india-news/article/n-rangasamy-to-lead-ainrc-led-nda-government-again-as-congress-manages-just-one-seat-23628964" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Chief Minister N Rangasamy</a> being the first to do so.
The legislators took oath as MLAs in the presence of pro-tem Speaker A Anbalagan in the 30-member House.&nbsp;
Besides Rangasamy, legislators belonging to the AINRC, BJP, AIADMK, DMK, Congress and Independents took the oath one by one in the languages of their choice &mdash; Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, or English.
