Following months of torture at the hands of their youngest son and daughter-in-law, in October, an elderly couple had approached the Sub-divisional officer (SDO) of Haveli seeking their right to live peacefully in their own home. Kalewadi based senior citizen, Ambadas Pawar, 70, alleged that their youngest family members often assaulted him and his wife. Reacting to their complaint, the Senior Citizen Grievance Redressal Forum on Monday directed the two accused to vacate the Pawar residence immediately, under Maintenance and Welfare of Senior Citizens (MWPSC) Act, 2007.
