Pune: Looted passengers stop train to lodge complaint against dacoits

The Yashwantpur-Jaipur holiday special train was targeted by a gang of dacoits near Jinti Road station in Solapur around 4 am on Monday. Passengers stopped the train at Pune railway station for 45 minutes when the Government Railway Police (GRP) initially refused to register a complaint.

Passengers in general bogies S4, S5 and S6 were looted of their cash, ornaments, mobile handsets and other valuables by about 15 dacoits, who were armed with sharp weapons. Manisha Manojkumar Dhoka, a passenger from Rajasthan, has lodged a case against the unidentified assailants in this regard.
