Updated On: 26 January, 2013 01:01 AM IST | | A Correspondent
With the gruesome Delhi gang rape bringing to fore the importance of women's safety in the country, this Republic Day Radio City 91.1 FM brings a unique opportunity for women to get educated in the skills of self-defence
Tying up with certified martial arts trainers across the country, Radio City will present a four-day physical training session for women that can help them defend themselves.
Women’s woes
Recognising the need to train women than just talk about rising crimes against them, the campaign aims at giving ‘wings of freedom’ to women. The trainers on board have specially designed a module to fit the essence of self-defence skills within a short schedule. The training would equip women on the basics of martial arts and karate that can help them overcome the fear of striking back. Improvement in reflexes and reaction time is also one of the key highlights of the training.
