Congress MP and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Thursday intensified his criticism of the Union government over the alleged NEET paper leak, rejecting Prime Minister Narendra Modi's announcement of fast-track courts and reiterating the Opposition's demand for accountability.
The exchange came shortly after the Prime Minister announced the establishment of fast-track courts to ensure the speedy trial and stringent punishment of those involved in examination paper leak cases. While the government projected the move as part of its efforts to safeguard students' interests, the Congress maintained that stronger political accountability was required.
