Railways ferried 20 lakh migrants in Shramik trains, says Piyush Goyal

Railway Ministry spokesperson said that more than two lakh people were being transported per day for the last few days, which is expected to be scaled up to three lakh passengers per day in the coming days

Union Railway and Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal on Tuesday said that the Indian Railways has transported over 20 lakh stranded migrant workers through the 1,565 Shramik Special trains since May 1.
@PiyushGoyal said, "Under PM @narendramodi-s leadership, railways have sent more than 20 lakh migrant workers back to their native places in 1,565 ShramikSpecial trains.
