Move is a part of Rs 25-crore drive to increase security at six major stations and also includes face-detecting CCTVs, metal detectors, baggage scanners
In a bid to improve the security arrangements at railway stations, the Central Railways (CR) has decided to install vehicle scanners at the entrances of all stations. These vehicle scanners will be placed on the surface of the road leading to the railway station premises, which would merge with the asphalt roads, without obstructing the traffic movement.

Security upgrade: The scanners will be attached to roads outside Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST), Dadar, Kurla, Thane, Kalyan and Lokmanya Tilak Terminus. Representation Pic
