New Delhi: The Rajya Sabha was on Thursday adjourned for half an hour after the house witnessed an uproar over former Congress minister Kumari Selja's remark that she was asked about her caste at a temple in Gujarat.

The government and the opposition locked horns on Wednesday as the treasury benches sought to contradict Selja's claim of having faced caste discrimination at the temple when she was a union minister.
