Rescued sex workers injured while trying to flee police van

They were being taken to a women's home; all were nabbed and given medical care

Three women, who were rescued from a prostitution racket in Pimpri, tried to run away from a moving police van while being taken to the rescue foundation home in Hadapsar. However, two of them sustained grievous injures and were nabbed by police personnel immediately.

The incident took place in Gosavi Vasti in Hadapsar on Saturday night. The three women have been booked under relevant sections of IPC. They were recently rescued by Pimpri police during a raid at an illegal prostitution den.
