Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Pawar on Friday called on citizens to take a collective pledge to transform Beed into a “developed, capable, and self-reliant” district. She was speaking at a flag-hoisting ceremony held at the Police Headquarters parade ground to mark Maharashtra Foundation Day.

Addressing the gathering, Pawar stressed the importance of public participation in driving development. She described the Marathwada region as a land known for its saints, scholars, and courageous individuals, underlining its rich cultural and historical legacy. Highlighting her personal connection to the region, she noted her roots in Ter town of Dharashiv district and reiterated her commitment to its progress.
