After a CBI probe revealed that Sanjay Singh was the chief conspirator in the scam, and forced his subordinates to pose as magistrates in Kurla station, he was given the axe
Sanjay Singh, suspended senior inspector of the Railway Protection Force (RPF), has finally been dismissed from service, after a CBI probe established beyond doubt that he was the chief conspirator among 21 RPF officials in a fake bail bond racket at Kurla station. The racket had been exposed in 2008-2009.
The 21 RPF personnel had been suspended last month. On Monday, RPF Inspector General (IG) Anil Sharma dismissed Singh, after naming him the main conspirator in the racket. “Singh was involved in a fake bail bond racket in Kurla. We have also received other complaints against him. After a probe was conducted, we decided to dismiss him,” said Sharma.
