The Indian rupee appreciated by 15 paise to 45.43 a dollar in the early trade on Wednesday amid increased capital inflows by foreign funds into equities.

The domestic currency had closed 15 paise lower at 45.58/59 in the previous session on Monday. The market remained closed yesterday on account of 'gudi padwa'.
