Pic/Sameer Markande Six months after Sandhya Singh, sister of music director duo Jatin-Lalit was found dead, her husband Jay Prakash Singh told SUNDAY MiD DAY that the trail of evidence does not look good for his son Raghuveer Singh. However, the senior Singh said he would make sure his son was not bullied or forced by the cops to extract a confession. Raghuveer, who is fighting drug addiction and whose girlfriend is also in rehab, apparently had a long history of violent fights with his mother over money to buy drugs. According to the crime branch officials, the deceased and the suspect, fought just hours before Sandhya went missing. Sandhya had accused her son of stealing Rs 30,000 from her cupboard. Speaking to SMD, crime branch officials said Raghuveer and his girlfriend may have to go through a narcotic analysis test as they are not cooperating with the cops. &ldquo;Whenever we ask them pointed or direct questions, they refuse to answer saying they are recovering from drug addiction,&rdquo; said an officer. Jay Prakash, however, sounded a defiant note on this matter. He said, &ldquo;The cops will have to let us know the exact nature of the questions they will ask my son, before he agrees to a narcotic analysis test. I don&rsquo;t want them to ask certain questions which are not related to the murder case.&rdquo; Meanwhile, Raghuveer, who had applied for anticipatory bail at the Thane sessions court last month, appeared in court yesterday. The court also accepted a sealed report on the case from crime branch officials during the day. The case Sandhya Singh went missing on December 13, last year while on her way to deposit jewellery worth R20 lakh at a Nerul bank. Over a month later on January 28, a British birdwatcher led the police to a skeleton in the marshes off Palm Beach Road. A day later, Singh&rsquo;s family members claimed her remains on the basis of the articles recovered from the spot where her skeleton was found.
