New Delhi: The CBI Tuesday arrested former West Bengal Police top officer Rajat Majumdar during its ongoing investigation into the multi-crore rupee Saradha chit fund scam.

Majumdar, who worked as a security advisor for the tainted company after retiring as director general of the state police's armed wing, has been booked under charges of criminal conspiracy and cheating.
