Vaidyaratnam Oushadhashala has introduced special rejuvenation packages for IT professionals that help to prevent and cure lifestyle diseases. The Ayurvedic health centre is the brainchild of the Mooss family from Kerala who have been practitioners for the past four generations. Seeing the spurt of ailments like Cervical Spondylosis and Spondylitis grown common among working professionals, they decided to start this unique form of therapy.

The special package includes a body massage with medicated oils. In the bundle massage, a piece of cloth containing herbs, rice, tamarind leaves and oil is warmed and applied to certain portions of the body. Whereas in the Shirodhara, oil, milk or coconut water are continuously made to trickle down your forehead for 45 minutes. These therapies help reduce pain, release tense nerves, improve immunity, cleanse you of toxins and reverse the ageing process. The oil massage is followed with a steam bath in a closet-like chamber that gets filled with steam and only your head juts out from the chamber. It helps to relax the body, reduce cellulite, and relieve back pain.

The centre also monitors your diet and lifestyle, and provides herbal medicines. They combine traditional Panchkarma practices (which involve appropriate diet comprising herbs and minerals, and flushing toxins to purify the body) with modern practices like steam baths. The package costs Rs 10,000 and includes 1-hour sessions, daily, for 14 days. The centre also offers packages for total spine care, knee care, stress management and arthritis.
