Two revellers were injured after an irritated bull rammed them from behind after hearing the sound of firecrackers during a Durga immersion procession, near Sai Baba Temple in Santacruz (E), on Wednesday evening. Injured seven-year-old Shravan Tari and 40-year-old Supriya Bhokte were part of the procession when the incident occurred.
Tari was dancing in the procession when suddenly the bullock rammed him from behind. He fell down and the raging animal ran over him. He started bleeding and was immediately rushed to a private clinic. He has been advised rest for two days.
According to eyewitnesses, the bursting of firecrackers during the procession had agitated the bullock due to which it went berserk. “I was clicking photographs of my neighbour’s son who was dancing in the procession when the bullock came from behind and rammed into my back. I fell down and my hand got injured,” said Bhokte.
