According to Malwani police, the incident occurred on Thursday morning at school. They said that the students had all collected in the school&rsquo;s passageway during lunch break and were playing when the tragic incident occurred.u00a0 <img alt="" src="http://images.mid-day.com/2012/aug/Amir-Jalil.jpg" style="width: 500px; height: 404px; " /> Blindsided:u00a0Amir Jalil was nearly blinded by the school watchman who jabbed the 10-yr-old in the eye withu00a0his lathi &ldquo;Amir was playing with his friends when the watchman Rahes Khan approached them and told them not to play there. Turning a deaf ear to Khan&rsquo;s order, the children continued to fool around much to the chagrin of the watchman. Trying to scare the kids and make them leave, Khan began to wave his lathi at them when the stick managed to hurt Amir on his right eye,&rdquo; said a Malwani police official. When the eye began bleeding, Khan rushed to inform the school authority following which the Std VI student was rushed to a local hospital. He was later taken to Bhagwati hospital for treatment. Doctors treating Amir said, &ldquo;His condition is critical. He is unable to see from his eye as of now.&rdquo; Doctors claim that even after an operation there are high chances that Amir will not be able to see again. Amir&rsquo;s parents approached the Malwani police and registered a complaint. An officer from Malwani police station said, &ldquo;Based on the complaint, we have arrested Khan under Section 326 (Voluntarily causing grievous hurt by dangerous weapons or means) of IPC. Khan will be produced in the court on Saturday.&rdquo;u00a0
