Now you can order condoms and sex toys online and get them delivered at home

Picking up lubes or condoms from the local store often turns into a Herculean task for some. Consumers have now taken to the web to satisfy their sexual pleasures and to avoid any embarrassment they might face at a medical store. With Durex's e-store, Indians can now not only stock up on a variety of condoms, but also on lubes and the latest pleasure enhancing tools.u00a0u00a0

Vishal Vyas, brand and product manager, Durex, said, "Consumers are very often embarrassed to go out and get what they needu00a0-- women especially.

With the e-store you can now avoid that because you can literally order condoms from your bedroom." He added, "We send our products in nondescript packages so that if the consumer himself is not ordering a product then the person receiving it will not know what the package contains."



Since its launch in 2008, the e-store has catered to metros such as Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai that make up for 40 per cent of its consumers.

While cities like Pune, Hyderabad and Bangalore make up for 30 per cent, smaller towns such as Patna and Coimbatore make up the rest.u00a0

Shruthi Natarajan (29), a PR executive, said, "I buy it off the rack, and I've had no problem with that. We're quite open in my family about sex." She added, "I wouldn't mind ordering online though."
u00a0Shiv S (31), another PR executive, said, "Frankly I don't mind going to the store to pick up condoms, my wife has done it several times." He added, "There isn't much hesitation in the new generation. I don't see the need to use the e-store."u00a0

u00a0Nikhil Narayanan (28), a copywriter, said, " Indians are not really open to lubes and toys yet. But people chuckle at me when they see me buying condoms." He added, "I would definitely consider buying online to avoid those chuckles."
