Mumbai: Sanjeev Khanna, the step father of Sheena Bora and a key accused in the sensational murder case, today filed an application before a court here alleging that he is in "illegal" detention after which the court sought a report from the police.

The application moved by his lawyer Shreyansh Mithare says that the police ought to have produced Khanna in the court on Monday but he was instead taken to Kolkata.
