A Shiv Sena leader was killed by unidentified assailants as he was returning home from the party office on the outskirts of the city, police said today. <img alt="" src="http://www.mid-day.com/imagedata/2012/jun/axe.jpg" style="width: 500px; height: 335px; " /> Representational picture The victim, Pandurang Ambike (42) was the branch head of party&#39;s Haveli taluka on the outskirts of Pune city. &quot;Ambike was attacked by three unidentified men (Monday night) while he was driving home on his two-wheeler. The attackers first stopped him and then hit him on his head and arms with a sharp object,&quot; an officer from the Haveli police station said. Police is awaiting the post-mortem report.
