Nashik: Shiv Sena MLA from Niphad Anil Kadam and others today staged a sit-in agitation at Gangapur dam in the district, protesting the Maharashtra government's decision to release water from the project for the drought-hit Marathwada.

Local farmers led by Kadam gathered at the dam site this morning and squatted there shouting anti-government slogans.
