New Delhi: A special investigation team (SIT) formed by the Centre is set to reinvestigate about 75 closed cases related to the 1984 anti-Sikh riots in the national capital.

The move is certain to ring political resonance in the poll-bound Punjab. Sources claimed that once the probe commences, investigators would issue advertisements regarding these cases and request the victims and witnesses to join the probe.
