Is a proclaimed offender and a notorious extortionist
Delhi police may not have had much success in cracking the Jama Masjid terrorist attack case, but the probe is proving to have other benefits. On Thursday the Special Cell arrested a contract killer from the notorious Anwar Thakur gang.

"The accused is a notorious extortionist and a professional contract killer of Anwar Thaur gang.
He was assigned to murder a businessman from Lahori Gate. A notorious extortionist Gopal Krishna who is booked under MCOCA is in Tihar jail for murdering a businessman named Abhay Yadav. After murdering him for extortion, Gopal Krishna was arrested and identified by the brother of the deceased, Ajay Yadav.
Gopal Krishan met Anwar Thakur in jail and offered him money for murdering Ajay Yadav, as he is an eyewitness. Anwar then assigned his shooter Taslim to do this contract killing but the money had not been transferred yet so he didn't shoot the target and we arrested him," confirmed a police officer.
Taslim has cases of murder, attempt to murder, extortion and arms act."We have arrested the accused under section 41.1 of CRPC and have informed the concerned police stations about him,a the officer added.
