The Entertainment Duty (ED) department will appeal the police commissionerate to not give permission to Holi parties in the backdrop of drought-like situation in many parts of the state. As of now the department had received six forms requesting no-objection certificates for such events. However, the head of the unit, Geetanjali Shirke, said that she will hold onto the NOCs and will place this matter before higher authorities, considering the scarcity of water in the entire state.
