Sensex crashes over 700 points, Nifty slips below 23,150 amid West Asia tensions

Indian stock markets ended sharply lower on Monday, with the Sensex falling 719 points and the Nifty losing 244 points as rising crude oil prices, Iran-Israel tensions and global uncertainty triggered broad-based selling across sectors

Amid the persisting global uncertainties, Indian equity markets on Monday ended sharply lower, leading to a sell-off in domestic equities amid a spike in crude oil prices.
As per INAS, the benchmark index Sensex declined 719.08 points, or 0.97 per cent, to close at 73,524.26, tracking weakness in global equities and rising geopolitical uncertainty.
