Janata Party chief Subramanian Swamy flies down to eat at Aditi restaurant in Parel, uses the opportunity to take a dig at everyone from Nitesh Rane to Congress workers and the UPA government
One placard said: “If eating national assets is essential, whyis eating in a restaurant a luxury?” Another said: “UPA stinks and sinks,” even as Janata Party president Subramanian Swamy made a pre-announced entry into the now nationally famous Aditi Veg Restaurant in Parel on Saturday. Flanked by supporters and party members, Swamy said he was here to show solidarity with the restaurant’s owner Srinivas Shetty. “The act of the Indian Youth Congress (IYC) workers (to shut down the place) was meant to create an atmosphere of terror. However, I congratulate people of Mumbai who opposed such terror tactics,” he said.
