In an interesting twist to the Sunil Lahoria murder case, Anurag Garg, one of the prime suspects in the case, filed for anticipatory bail in the Bombay High Court on Wednesday through his lawyer. He is still on the run and cops have failed to nab him in the past five months. <img alt="" src="http://images.mid-day.com/2013/aug/Anurag-Garg.jpg" style="width: 500px; height: 637px;" /> Mumbai Crime Branch officials, who are investigating the sensational murder that was captured on CCTV cameras, said that Garg&rsquo;s anticipatory bail hearing is scheduled for August 20. Meanwhile, co-accused Suresh Bijlani&rsquo;s bail plea will be heard today at the Thane court. &ldquo;Suresh has been trying to secure bail since the time he was arrested by the Crime Branch. His attempts became even more desperate after he was remanded in judicial custody on July 29,&rdquo; said a senior officer from the Crime Branch requesting anonymity. &ldquo;Suresh has been claiming during interrogations that he is in no way involved in Lahoria&rsquo;s murder, and was on the run only because he was scared. After he was arrested, he also revealed that he wandered from Delhi to Agra to Indore, but didn&rsquo;t dare visit any place in Maharashtra,&rdquo; the officer said. Suspect claims According to the police officials, the three prime suspects Suresh Bijlani, his brother Mahesh and Garg haven&rsquo;t met since their names cropped up in the investigations. &ldquo;Suresh claims that his brother Mahesh and Garg planned Lahoria&rsquo;s murder, and that he had no role to play in the murder.&rdquo; Crime Branch officials said that after they get hold of the other two accused, they would interrogate them separately. However, they have decided that if the accused start blaming each other, they&rsquo;d make all three of them sit face-to-face and question them. Case history On February 16, Sunil Lahoria, a prominent builder, was shot dead outside his Sector 28 office in Vashi. The police have arrested nine persons, including the two shooters Venkatesh Shettiar and Wajid Qureshi, former &lsquo;encounter specialist&rsquo; Emmanuel Amolik, Sumeet Bachchewar, Bhupesh Gupta, Francis Chawri, Altaf Aftab Khan, Mohammed Nasir Ansari alias Bhaijan and prime accused Suresh Bijlani. They are on the lookout for Mahesh Bijlani, Garg, Surya Prakash and Bandya Mama. Lahoria had mentioned the names of Bachchewar, Agrawal, Suresh and Garg as suspects in his dying declaration to his son. Lahoria&rsquo;s son has also announced a cash reward of Rs 11 lakh for anyone providing information on the whereabouts of the accused.u00a0
