Chennai: The Tamil Nadu assembly on Monday passed a bill that replaces an ordinance and legalises Jallikattu, the bull taming sport, in the state.

The bill replaced the ordinance that was promulgated on Saturday amending the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act.
