A 35-year-old techie died on the spot when he accidentally fell from his seventh floor apartment in Whitefield yesterday evening

A 35-year-old techie died on the spot when he accidentally fell from his seventh floor apartment in Whitefield yesterday evening. The victim, Parijat Banerjee, was employed with an IT major, and is survived by two kids and a wife. A complaint has been registered with the Whitefield police.

Banerjee had come to Bangalore six years ago, and had purchased an apartment on Banerghatta Road. In 2009, he purchased a 7th floor apartment in Brigade Harmony Apartments at Whitefield for Rs 95 lakh. Recently, he had decided to sell that house, and had even got a buyer from Tamil Nadu.u00a0

He had gone to this apartment with his friend Keshav, and the duo was waiting for the customer to turn up. At around 5 pm, he got call and went to the balcony. While talking on the phone, he lost his balance, fell down, sustained severe injuries, and was killed at the spot.

Banerjee's body has been transferred to Vaidehi Hospital, the post mortem report is expected to arrive on Friday.
