The Telangana Congress has begun accepting applications from individuals aspiring to contest the state Assembly elections, scheduled to be held later this year, starting Friday, according to a senior party leader.

Following the Karnataka Congress, the Telangana unit will introduce a nomination fee of Rs 25,000 for candidates from SC, ST, and physically challenged categories, and Rs 50,000 for others.
