Srinagar: A terrorist was today killed in an encounter with security forces during a massive, brigade-level operation by the army in Wadarbala forest in the Handwara area of north Kashmir's Kupwara district.

According to an army spokesman, acting on specific information about the presence of three militants in Gunabadar village of Handwara, a joint team of police and army launched a search operation during the night.
