Rainfall brings down maximum temperatures across Rajasthan

Moderate to heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and gusty winds cooled several parts of Rajasthan, bringing down maximum temperatures by up to 6 degC below normal. Bhilwara, Churu and Shahpura recorded significant rainfall, while Barmer remained the hottest at 41.7 degC

Parts of Rajasthan on Tuesday witnessed moderate to heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and gusty winds, the weather department said.

According to the MeT office, from 8.30 am to 5.30 pm, Bhilwara recorded 32 mm rainfall, followed by 24.2 mm rainfall in Churu, 11.6 mm each in Kota and Fatehpur, 11 mm in Pali, 7.4 in Sri Ganganagar, 7 mm each in Sikar and Chittorgarh.
