Ombhare suffered injuries on his leg and chest and has been admitted in Sassoon Hospital. He said, "I had got into the one way lane by mistake. These two constables stopped me near Sahakar Nagar chowk.
They first abused me and then started hitting me mercilessly. When the conductor tried to stop them, they abused him as well."
The two constables from Dattawadi traffic police division have lodged a complaint at Swargate police station that says when they asked Ombhare to stop the bus, he drove the bus over Kale's toe.
Rajkumar Gaikwad, PI, Swargate police station, said, "One of the constables got a fracture in one of his toes after the bus ran over him. We have lodged his complaint and will also lodge Ombhare's complaint. "
Ajit Umbahe, under whom Subhash works, said, "We went to Swargate to lodge a complaint but they told me that we should carry a medical checkup."
