Claim inadequate signboards, manpower crunch and unavailability of seniors as the reasons for their failure to ban vehicles from parking on right-hand side of the 'important' street starting yesterday
Despite citing terror threats as the main reason for the initiative, officials of the traffic police department failed to convert the right-hand side of the Fergusson College (FC) Road into a no-parking zone. They claimed that inadequate signboards, manpower shortage and unavailability of seniors as the reason for failure to implement the initiative. A ban on parking of vehicles on the 600-metre stretch -- from Gopalkrishna Gokhale Chowk near Hotel Goodluck up to Fergusson Girls Hostel — was supposed to be enforced starting yesterday.u00a0
