Traffic police get richer by Rs 14 lakh in five days

In a special drive conducted between November 19 and 24, as many as 9,000 errant motorists and bikers were fined for flouting several traffic rules and regulations
Drivers, beware! You just can’t get away with breaking traffic rule anymore, as the cops are leaving no stone unturned to ensure that norms are strictly followed.
The traffic police have booked 9,000 errant drivers for various offences in just 5 days. These include 2,954 cases for riding without a helmet, 1,982 for halting the vehicle on zebra crossing, 1,146 for parking vehicles at bus stops, and 1,231 for driving on the wrong side of the road.
