Transport dept plans to start 7-seater share-taxis

Proposed by former transport minister Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil in 2010, the department is keen on reviving seven-seater share taxis in the city
If everything goes as per the old plan revived by the authorities of the transport department, then soon commuters would be able avail seven-seater, point-to-point, share taxi services in the city. The proposal introduced by the then transport minister Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil in 2010 went on a backburner due to intra-departmental issues and though it has been revived, deadline for its implementation remains unannounced.

In revival mode: If the transport department revives the old plan, then soon seven-seater share taxis would be seen plying commuters in the city
