Seven persons were killed near Indapur on Pune-Solapur road when the car they were travelling in rammed into a truck coming from the opposite direction yesterday. The party, who were returning the city after a trip to Pandharpur included two 12-year-old kids.

The deceased have been identified as Nitin Dattatray Bahirat, Shrikant, Vidya Shruti, all from Bhosalenagar. The others were Vasant Vyankaji Kulkarni, his wife Veena and their son Vinayak, staying in Wadgaon Dhayari.
"The seven were all in the car. In an attempt to overtake another vehicle they rammed into a truck coming from the opposite side," Police Sub-Inspector Vijay Deshmukh.
