The incident took place near Hill-Seat Society in Bhusari Colony, Kothrud, at 8.30 pm. The auto driver, Sudhir Rajaram Mane (35), a resident of Sutardara in Kothrud, lodged a complaint at the Kothrud police station. The police said the passengers gave Mane a blow in the head with a heavy object. “After attacking Mane, they looted him and fled with the autorickshaw,” Assistant Police Inspector Chandrakant Jadhav of the Kothrud police station said. “They robbed him of 400 rupees and his mobile. Mane sustained a minor injury.” The officer said Mane shouted for help, but nobody was around at the time. “The stolen mobile is a Tata Indicom handset and it is without any SIM card, which means it is not possible to trace it,” Jadhav said. “The driver told us the two passengers were speaking in Marathi and they were between 30 and 40 years old.”u00a0
