New line nearly complete, cantonment board authorities say flooding in low-lying areas will now be thing of past

The Pune Cantonment Board (PCB) has nearly completed the laying of an underground drainage line that will reduce water-logging in low-lying areas.

Officials claim that water which could not flow into other roadside drains that were at a higher level will now easily flow down into the newly laid lines. This will also reduce the strain on other drainage networks as the new pipes will take a heavy load off them.
