Twenty-seven people were killed in different parts of the state due to rains and storm which uprooted trees, telephone and electricity poles.

While seven were killed in Hardoi, six in Mathura, two each Lucknow, Mainpuri and Aligarh and one each from Etawah and Kannauj yesterday, police sources on Tuesday said.
