Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal on Tuesday said that with the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) now live in Greece, eligible customers can transfer money instantly, securely, and seamlessly. The Union Minister, while speaking about the introduction of UPI in Greece, also said that with this move, transaction costs were reduced drastically to a fraction of conventional transfer costs. 

Highlighting the increasing global acceptance and appreciation of UPI, Piyush Goyal, while taking to social media handle X, said, “Reflect the trust in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of building technology-led solutions that create value beyond borders and deepen partnerships for shared growth and prosperity.”
