The Vivek Nagar police busted a high-profile prostitution ring running on mobile phones at 10 pm yesterday, and arrested 5 girls.

One of the girls is from Uzbekistan, a 22-year-old, who came to India 15 days ago, on a tourist visa.

According to the police, the girl came to Bangalore for the sole purpose of prostitution, with the help of a local pimp, Rajesh. The other girls are from Mumbai, Kolkata and Delhi. They have been sent to remand homes.

Manjunath Babu, PI, Vivek Nagar, said, "We have arrested five girls aged between 22-26 and the customer, Santosh, and Rajesh.
