Many staff members of the varsity have been seeking extensions on their census and election-related work to get a few more days of holiday, say sources
Following the MiD-DAY report on May 8 about how University of Pune (UoP) is facing acute shortage of man power as 138 employees are either with the PMC or with the district administration doing census or election-related work, PMC has relieved 25 UoP staff who were deployed at various ward offices across the city.
“Just two days ago PMC relieved 25 of our staff members. Now we have got back all our staff working with administrative department,” informed UoP deputy registrar (administration) Vikas Patil.
