But this blatant misuse of power may turn out to be his nemesis.

Sanjay Vir Singh</td></tr></tbody></table>Bangalore University Canara Bank School of Management Studies, from where Sanjay is doing his MBA, received a letter dated February 14, asking it to allow him to complete the course. Shockingly, Sanjay had signed the letter, which said it was a syndicate resolution at a January 15 meeting. However, the syndicate had not taken any such decision. Though the matter was discussed, the syndicate did not take any decision on the request because of severe opposition from the members. Sanjay wrote the exam in January this year. "He fabricated the records," said a syndicate member, who was at the meeting. "The resolutions were not shown to us." Narcissist "It looks like Sanjay gave himself a Valentine's Day gift," joked a source in the Canara Bank School of Mangement Studies. Dr Prabhudev took charge as full time VC in February. He did not recall sending such a letter to the management department. HC order Even if the syndicate did pass the resolution, it would not be valid, said a syndicate member, as a recent high court order says a syndicate cannot take any decision violating statutes and acts. The statute does not allow a registrar to pursue his studies in the same university. Sanjay not only studied, but also took home a salary as guest faculty from the same department. Time to go? Reliable sources in the university said the ground had been prepared to transfer Sanjay Vir Singh to the police department, which is his home department, following reports of irregularities. Sanjay is an IPS officer and was with Cyber Crime Cell as inspector-general of police before joining Bangalore University. Vice-chancellor Dr Prabhudev is understood to have written to the government to take Sanjay back to the police department. The authorities are waiting for the election code of conduct to get over on April 30, when the state is going for the second phase of polling. Prabhudev, however, declined to comment when contacted for this story.
