New Delhi: Vishwa Hindu Parishad on Tuesday sharply criticised Vice President Hamid Ansari over his pitch for "affirmative action" for Muslims, dubbing it as "communal" statement and demanded that he should either apologise or resign and join politics.
"The remarks by Ansari over the Muslim community is not of a person occupying the vice president's chair but of a Muslim leader," Vishwa Hindu Parishad spokesperson Surendra Jain told IANS.
