Local village heads (sarpanchs) of the Manesar area yesterday decried the repeated crises in leading car-maker Maruti’s Manesar plant, blaming these on “outsiders”, and demanded a CBI probe into the situation.

Sarpanchs from the villages of Manesar, Kasan, Sikhohpur, Kho, Rampura, Kankrola, and Bans Kusla accused the Haryana government of virtually supporting the agitating workers, the spokesperson said. “The pollution control board, labour departments along with the help of top officials of the state government were busy in enrolling youths from select districts of Haryana,” said a spokesman of the sarpanchs.
