Lashing out at NCP Chief Sharad Pawar, the opposition leader in state legislative council and senior BJP leader in state Vinod Tawade said that Pawar and his party were flipping from their own stand about Maratha reservation on which the party had been gaining the Maratha vote bank since last ten years
Tawde who was in Pune on Sunday to talk with the press said that his party had already cleared its stand that except political reservation, Marathas should get all the benefits under reservation policy, in addition to the separate reservation for the economically backward class in Marathas.
“When the elections are round the corner, the issue of reservation for Maratha caste has always been raised by NCP, however Pawar is misleading the people by changing his own stand when the report of the panel headed by Minister for Industryu00a0Narayan Rane to look into demands of elected members for Maratha reservation is on its way,” said Tawde. Pawar recently gave a statement that he was in favor of reservation for all economically disadvantaged sections, including Marathas.
