Wayanad landslide: Police register BNS case as rescue teams search for missing

Police have registered a case under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita in connection with the Wayanad landslide as rescue teams continue searching for those missing.

Police have registered a case under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) in connection with the Wayanad landslide, while rescue operations continue with the priority of locating those still missing, Kannur Range DIG Karthick K said on Tuesday.

At least three people were killed and several others remain missing after a landslide struck the Kalladi tunnel construction site in Meppadi Grama Panchayat of Keralam's Wayanad district on Tuesday, officials said.
