NCP leaders claim Ajit Pawar's resignation might adversely affect projects in city, Pimpri-Chinchwad and district
With Ajit Pawar stepping down as deputy chief minister on Tuesday following allegations of involvement in the irrigation scam, projects initiated by him have been on the forefront of concern.
As the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) enjoys power in the PMC with Congress, the fate of these projects are expected to hit a bumpy road after he resigned. The opposition in the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) will have no part in believing that any projects will be hit because Pawar tendered his resignation, as these projects are funded by JNNURM and through taxpayer’s money.
