Ten months after they tied the knot, a 35-year-old woman has filed a cheating case against her charlatan husband for lying to her prior to their marriage that he was a lawyer. The accused had furnished false information about his professional credentials and monthly earnings on the matrimonial site through which they had met in December last year.
The complainant, Padmasingh Amit Chauhan, a resident of James Court society in Vimannagar, lodged an FIR on Wednesday against Amitsingh Chauhan, brother-in-law Vishal Chauhan and another relative Lalbahadursingh -- all residents of Netajinagar in Gujarat -- under sections 420 (cheating), 406 (criminal breach of trust) and 417 (forgery) of the Indian Penal Code.
